as a discipline concerned with communication, typography directs the correspondence between intended and received messages. typography, therefore, is intrinsically a study of cognitive processes and the cultural codifications embedded within larger collectives. while the effect of typefaces and typesetting may sometimes seem subtle as one focuses on the content, the true beauty of typography lies in its profound connection to our subconsciousness. it maps the conceptual relationships within a text, making it a reflective study on the nature of human expression.

what we choose to see—or choose not to see—ultimately reflects our own motivations and biases.
